Splenda is not all that good for our bodies. When I was in high school I had to do a chemical study on any drink and the compound I was given happened to be Splenda. In addition to the in "the news" of today did you that Splenda contains 3 carbons bonded together that if broken can be harmful to the human body or even cause Cancer. All the advertising the Splenda gets today is just making consumers buy this product more and more. we don't regularly look at the labels of what is in what we eat or drink, some people hear that this may be bad for us but not everyone reads these articles. They just see all the advertisements and only hear of the good things that Splenda has to offer. they hear none of the harmful effects that Splenda can have.

Do you think parents should test their children for cancers such as Brest cancer and ovarian cancer?
Ya i think parents should have their kids test for Brest or ovarian cancer. If it is possible that they have it, it can be caught and delt with early and maybe save their lives. If parents have the finances to go and have this test done for their kids it should be done. But how about those families that can not aford the test for their kids? What will they do or what can they do?

Draft #1

Today we were to have our first drafts in for our "I Believe Essay", but i have not still chosen a topic to write about, I spent all weekend trying to think about and decide what i would write about in my "I Believe essay". The fact of the matter is I don't know what I believe in or I just don't know what to write about what i believe.

NOTE TO SELF; Ask for some ideas on a topic when you get to class.

I believe that if its for our safety they should continue to build the fences. But on the other hand i think that they should hold off on it to really access the problem at hand. Bush says its to prevent terrorist attacks on American soil but i really don't believe that is what it is for.
Look at were they are building the fences right on the Mexican border. I think that they are trying to keep out more then terrorist by building this fence.
I don't think that Congress or Bush should use any of the tax payers money to complete a project like this.

Journal Entry #2

I choose to read the essays entitled The Power of Comedy and Saying Thank You. At first I choose to read these two essays because I saw their titles quite interesting.
In both in the essays of The Power of Comedy and Saying Thank You, the writers used stories from their own experiences. They drew their ideas from past situation to give readers an understanding of each of their own topics.
The tone of both essays were reflective. They choose situations that really happened to them.
From what I read these essays were very similar each writer in their own way used each topic to up left other individuals in their surroundings, whether it was by saying thank you in a certain language or just making someone laugh.
Both writers followed the guidelines given for given.
Well for project 1 I don't really know what beliefs I would choose to write about, I just hope it is as good as these essays.

Journal entry #1

When I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade I had to write a short story, with a least 4 chapters.

Responding in writing was the only way I knew how to respond. And anyways I had to do it, it was a class assignment.

I choose to write a fictional story. I wanted to entertain who ever was reading my story.

My audiences were only six or seven year old children. I wanted them to able to use their imaginations to be able to see what I saw.

I wrote my shot story to get a good grade, but I also wanted my story to be entertaining to someone.

When I had wrote that story I was only six or seven years old, so I probably drew my ideas from what I saw on television and similar stories I had herd.

It gives me more incite or understanding to why I was writing and the point I was trying to get across.

Some people are able to access many more technologies then others can. But i believe if you have the means then why not use what you have to the fullest extent. Use all of your resources or any technological advantage you have, weather it is completing a project or winning gold metals in the Olympics.
